National Dish
Kabuli Palaw
Long-grain basmati rice with tender meat, caramelised carrots and sweet raisins – Afghanistan’s most famous dish.
From hand-baked naan to fragrant Kabuli Palaw – honest cooking from Afghanistan, freshly prepared every day in our small family business.
Behind Afghan Imbiss is the Noori family, who came from Kabul to Vienna more than twenty years ago – bringing grandmother’s recipes and the belief that good food brings people together.
Every morning we cook and bake fresh: the dough for our naan kneaded by hand, the rice for our Kabuli Palaw slow-cooked for hours. Honest, hearty cuisine – just as you would find it at home in Afghanistan.
Classics of Afghan cuisine – freshly prepared and generously served.

National Dish
Long-grain basmati rice with tender meat, caramelised carrots and sweet raisins – Afghanistan’s most famous dish.

Homemade
Hand-folded dumplings with yogurt, mint, lentils and a spiced tomato sauce – each one shaped by hand.

From the Grill
Juicy kebab fresh from the grill with fragrant saffron rice, grilled tomato and mild chili.

From the Oven
Flatbread baked fresh every day – crisp outside, fluffy inside and always oven-warm.

Our naan is baked fresh throughout the day – the traditional way, with plenty of patience and the right heat. As a side or on its own: taste it once and you will want it again and again.
